Durgam not only village it is a historical place .durgam fort is famous and amazing construction of seven big walls, wells at hills శ్రీ అనగా సిరి సంపదలు, వేడు అనగా దుర్గం (కోట). క్రీ.శ 1389 సంవత్సరం (శాలివాహన శకవర్షంబులు సర్వజిత్ మార్గశిర మాసం) సాకే లక్కభూపతి నాయుడు ఈ దుర్గం నిర్మించారు. పండమేరు పక్కన పాలచేర్ల పాళేగాడు తిమ్మనాయుని కుమారుడు లక్కభూపతి నాయుడు పాలించేవాడు. ఒక రోజు కాకతాళీయంగా సంజీవపురం నుంచి కెకె అగ్రహారం వరకు విస్తరించి వున్న పర్వత శ్రేణులుకు వేటకు పోయి చూసి అబ్బురపోయాడు. తన సామ్రాజ్యంలో శతృదుర్భేద్యమైన దుర్గం నిర్మించాలని తలంచాడు. క్రీ.శ 1389 సంవత్సయం సామంత మంత్రి, పురోహిత,సేనాని సమేతంగా వచ్చి సప్తసంతానములు కలిగి వుండే విధంగా కుభేరుని అలకాపురికి దీటుగా, మహేంద్రుని అమరావతికి సాటి గా నిర్మించారు. సప్త సంతానం అనగా జలదుర్గం, స్ఠల దుర్గం, గిరి దుర్గం,వన దుర్గం లాంటి వాటితో పాటు చెరువులు, కొలనులు, అగ్రహారం, వనం, దాన, ధర్మాలు పాటించడం. ఈ మేరకు పడమటి వైపు లింగన్న చెరువు, పాత చెరువులు తవ్వించి అక్కడ జలదుర్గం, ప్రస్తుతం చియ్యేడు ఎల్లమ్మ వున్న ప్రాంతంలో స్థల దుర్గం కొండపైన గిరి దుర్గం, లింగన్న చెరువుకు దక్షణం వైపు వనదుర్గం, గిరి దుర్గానికి ఉత్తరమవైపు అగ్రహారం, గిరి దుర్గం పాదాల దగ్గర కొలను నిర్మించాడు. లక్క భూపతి నాయుడు శత్రవులును సంహరించి ఆశ్రయులను రక్షించడం దిట్ట, అంచేట "వజ్రపంజరి" అనే బిరుదు పొందారు. ఈ దుర్గం సాకే వంశం వారి తర్వాత హండే వారు వశపర్చుకున్నారు. (దుర్గం కోట చరిత్ర చెప్పాల్సింది చాలా వుంది! వినాల్సింది మిగిలే వుంది!! మరొక వ్యాసం రాసుకుందాం!!).
చియ్యేడు! (1565 -1572) స్థల దుర్గంలో జరిగిన సంఘటనల కారణంగా వైష్ణణవులు , మరి కొంత మంది లింగప్ప చెరువు దక్షణం వున్న వన దుర్గం సమీపంలో మరో అగ్రహారం నిర్మించుకున్నారు. అక్కడే రామప్పదేవాలయం (ఉమా రామలింగేశ్వర దేవాలయం) పడమటి ముఖంగా నిర్మించారు. నది దక్షణం నుంచి ఉత్తరం వైపు ప్రవహిస్తున్న దగ్గ శివాలయం పడమటి ముఖంగా ఏర్పాటు చేయడం వాస్తు ధర్మం. రామప్పనాయుడు 101 దేవాలయాలు ఒకే రోజు శంకుస్థాన చేశారు, అందులో ఇదొకటి కావడంతో స్థానికంగా రామప్ప దేవాలయం అనడం ఆనవాయితీ. ఇక్కడ బ్రహ్మణ కుటుంభాలకు చెందిన ప్రశస్ఠి వున్నది. రాజ గురువులైన శ్రీ వైష్ణవులు, పౌరోహితులు కర్ణరికం చేసే వారు ప్రభలురు. సరస్వతీ పుత్ర పుట్టపర్తి నారాయాచార్యలు ఇక్కడి శ్రీ వైష్ణవ వంశీయుడు. ప్రముఖ స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధులు కరణం రామచంద్రరావు ఇక్కడి వారే! ప్రస్తుత చియ్యేడు!! రామప్ప దేవాలయం దగ్గర నుంచి ఇప్పుడున్న చియ్యేడుకు స్థల మార్పిడి చేశారు. ఈ ప్రాంతంలో బ్రాహ్మణులతో పాటు రైతులు, మరి కొన్ని సామాజిక వర్గాలు కురుబ, మహ్మదీయుల లాంటి వర్గాల ప్రస్థావ కూడా వుంది. చియ్యేడు దుర్గమప్ప! కురుబ సామాజిక వర్గానికి చెందిన చిన్నయ్య ముందు మనం చర్చించుకున్న పాత శ్రీ వేడు లో దుర్గం చిన్నయ్య స్వామిని శీనయ్య స్వామిగా కురుబ సామాజిక వర్గంలో బహుశా బండి వంశస్థుల దైవం చియ్యేడు దర్గమప్ప గుడికట్టుగా పూజిస్తున్నారు.
ఈ గుడికట్లకు చాలా ప్రాంతాలలో భక్తులు వున్నారు. చిట్రా వంశీయులు ఇక్కడ ఊశకోతకు గురయ్యారు. స్థల దుర్గంలో వున్న చియ్యేడు ఎల్లమ్మ వీరి కులదైవం. గిరి దుర్గానికి తూర్పు వైపు వున్న చెరుకుతోటపల్లి వద్ద బ్రిటీషర్లు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ఒక రోజు ఏదో విచారణ కోసం ఇద్దరు పోలీసు వచ్చారు. చిట్రా వారి మహిళలు పోలీసులను యాల పొద్డుకు వచ్చారు అంబలి (రాగి గంజి) వుంది తాగండి నాయనా! అని ఆథిత్యమిచ్చారు. సదరు పోలీసు అహంకారంగా మీ అంబిలి మా ముడ్డిలి పోయండని ఎగతాళి చేశారు. దీంతో ఆగ్రహించిన మహిళలు ఇద్డరి పోలీసులను చెట్టుకు తలక్రిందుల వేలాడదీసి ముడ్డిలో బాగా వేడిగా గంజిని పోయడంతో వారు అనారోగ్యానికి గురై మరణించారు. దీంతో బ్రిటీష్ ప్రభుత్వం చిట్రా వంశీయులను వేటాడి హతమార్చారు. కొంత మంది మారు పేర్లతో చిక్కాల, చిల్లర, చిరుతలు అనే పేర్లతో ఇతర ప్రాంతాలకు వెళ్లిపోయారు. తాడిమర్రి రామప్పనాయుడు వద్ద సేనానిగా తని చేసిన ఆలేటి పెద్దన్న వారసులు కూడా వున్నారు.
దస్తరిగి స్వామి దర్గా! చియ్యేడులో దస్తగిరి స్వామి ఉరుసు (గంధం) ప్రసిద్డి హజరట్ షేక్ ఇమామ్ షావలి 40సంవత్సరాల పాటు కఠోరమైన తపస్సు చేశారు. 1917 సంవత్సరంలో మహ్మదీయ కుటుంభీకులు కందూరీ ఉత్సవం చేసుకుంటున్న రోజు తను తనువు చాలిస్తున్నట్లు వారి తెలిపి పైన గ్రద్దను నా ఆత్మ|అందుకో వెళుతోందిని చెప్పి ప్రాణాలర్పించారని చెబుతారు. అనంతరం ఆయన చిన్న కుమారుడు మౌలాసాబ్ పీఠం అధిష్టించారు. తర్వాత గపూర్ సాబ్ పీఠాధిపతిగా వున్నారుఅప్పటి నుంచి రంజాన్ పండుగ అయిపోయిన 11 రోజులకు ఘనంగా గంధం నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ గ్రామంలో మహ్మదీయులు రెండు తెగలువున్నయి. షేక్,సయ్యద్ వంశీయులు కలరు. సయ్యద్ స్థలదుర్గంలో వున్నడు గాజులు తయారీ కుటీరపరిశ్రమ ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ఈ కుటుంభాలు గాజుల వ్యాపారం స్థిరపడ్డారు. స్వాతంత్ర్యపోరాటంలో. స్వాతంత్ర్యోద్యమకాలంలో ఇది జాతీయోద్యమగ్రామంగా గుర్తుంపు పొందినది. ఉద్యమంలోకి మొదటగా మహ్మదీయ సామాజిక వర్గం నుంచి రాబియా అనే మహిల సత్యాగ్రహంలో పాల్లొన్నారు. సామాజిక వివక్ష వుండకూడదని సహపంక్తి భోజనాలు ఏర్పాాటు చేశారు. ఉద్యమ సమయంలో చాలా మంది జైలుకు కూడా వెల్లారు.
